20 Manzanas by Valverán
Valverán’s iced cider is inspired by the exclusive Canadian ‘ice-ciders’, manufactured with the use of apples in a frozen state.
Each bottle of cider requires 20 indigenous apples selected manually. This cider essence demands a complex system of controls, reproducing in the wine-press the effects that freezing temperatures have in the orchards. Later, the cider obtained rests for 12 months in French oak barrels, before the process of bottling begins. Each ‘vintage’ is limited to 6000 bottles.
The physical process of natural transformation that occurs in the press enables the concentration and extraction of all the pulp of Asturian apples, leading to an aromatic iced cider whose flavour when tasted never ceases to delight.
